Terms of Service
Last updated: October 18, 2026
Campus Clarity LLC (“Campus Clarity,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Campus Clarity mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Services”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Campus Clarity LLC governing your use of the Services. By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and handle personal information and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully.
1. The Services
Campus Clarity provides college students with a consolidated platform for campus life, including dining hall menus, campus events, campus resources, an interactive campus map, local business deals, and push notifications. Certain features described in the app or in these Terms (such as integration with an institutional learning management system) may not yet be available and will be introduced over time.
2. Eligibility
The Services are intended for currently enrolled college and university students at participating institutions. To use the Services, you must (a) be at least 16 years of age or a currently enrolled college or university student, and (b) register with a valid institutional (.edu) email address. The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity that occurs under your account. Where your institution's single sign-on system is used for login, your access to the Services also depends on your credentials and standing with your institution; we do not control your institutional account. Notify us promptly at campusclarity.app@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. You may delete your account at any time from within the app.
4. Relationship to Your Institution
Campus Clarity LLC is an independent company. The Services are not owned, operated, or controlled by Hastings College or any other institution, and references to an institution, its name, or its campus do not imply the institution's endorsement of the Services. Information displayed in the app — including dining menus, event details, hours, and campus resources — is compiled from institutional and public sources and may change without notice; the institution's official communications control in the event of any conflict.
5. License and Acceptable Use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your own non-commercial use as a student. You agree not to:
- Access or attempt to access another user's account or data;
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services, or circumvent any security or access-control measure;
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Services, or use automated means to access them;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
- Impersonate any person, misrepresent your affiliation, or provide false registration information;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services or the servers and networks connected to them;
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of your institution's applicable policies.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Local Deals and Third-Party Businesses
Local deals displayed in the app are offers made by independent local businesses, not by Campus Clarity. We display deal information as provided to us; we are not a party to any transaction between you and a business, do not process payments, and do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or honoring of any deal. Any purchase, redemption, or dispute is solely between you and the business.
7. Third-Party Services
The Services interoperate with third-party platforms such as your institution's identity system (for login) and, when available, your institution's learning management system (for assignment reminders you individually authorize). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and your institution's policies, not by these Terms. Links or deep links out of the app lead to services we do not control.
8. User Content and Feedback
Content you submit through the Services (such as event RSVPs, selected interests, or survey feedback) remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Services. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without restriction or obligation to you.
9. Intellectual Property
The Services, including their software, design, text, graphics, and logos, are owned by Campus Clarity LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license in Section 5, no rights in the Services are granted to you. Institutional names and marks referenced in the app belong to their respective owners.
10. Push Notifications
With your permission, the app sends push notifications, including event reminders and promotional notifications about events and local deals. You can adjust or disable notifications at any time in the app's settings or your device settings. We may still send service messages necessary to administer your account.
11. Changes to the Services
We are actively developing the Services and may add, change, or remove features at any time, including during pilot programs. We may suspend or discontinue the Services, in whole or in part, with reasonable notice where practicable.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time; deletion triggers our automated data deletion process described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if your institution's participation in the Services ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 9, and 13–16) survive.
13. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that information displayed in the app — including dining menus, event times, hours of operation, assignment due dates, or deal terms — is accurate, complete, or current. You are responsible for verifying time-sensitive information (such as assignment deadlines) against your institution's official systems.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Campus Clarity LLC and its founders, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Services will not exceed fifty U.S. dollars ($50) or the amount you paid us to use the Services in the twelve months before the claim arose, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Campus Clarity LLC from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Services, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at campusclarity.app@gmail.com and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Nebraska, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice such as an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
